For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 (New Living Translation)
This site is about an individual wanting to show the world that God is real. To encourage people with hope - that even in a harsh world you can see light in dark places. This site might be about my personal testimony. You might have noticed that I have stayed anonymous. It is more important that God is glorified and that you take away something positive from this site.
The day I realized God was real, I was working at a women's retail shop. Management left me alone on the sales floor (a big no, no). Oh! Did I mention I was the only cashier? So here I am ripe for the plucking for any thieves to come into the store and shoplift.
As soon as the thieves realized I was alone they rapidly snatched the clothes off the rack closest to the exit. They made a commotion right next to customers with children, and that made me mad! I jumped into action (surprised? I was too) and ran after the two shoplifters. One of them was a man standing over six foot, the other was a drugged-out female.
I ran out and grabbed the personal items out of the female hands and threw them in the middle of traffic. Then I continued to run after the male who was shocked that I was behind him. We made a deal; he dropped 90% of what he stole and I did not have to fight him. This was all done with no words ever being exchanged.
As I walked back to the store the drugged-out female tried to approach me and before she could or say anything I balled her out. She was shocked but I just walked away. I walked back into the store chastised my managers for breaking the rules and went back to work.
Shortly after the lunch hour rush began, I sensed the Lord's presence. As He spoke to me, He said that He had given me the power to do what I had done. It was then I felt my first rush of the Holy Spirit. I felt an overwhelming joy and strength that I had never felt before. It was then that I realized that God was REAL! He IS real. My spirit came alive I laughed and joked about the whole incident so much that a customer thought I was drunk. Is that how the Holy Spirit works?
When I went home that night I told my mother what had happened. As a mother, she was worried but she saw the change. She saw that Christ was real in my life. That day started my journey with Christ and I have had a wonderful relationship with Him ever since.
